Our History
Silson Memorial Trust has a heart to help those who minister, providing an aid fund for pastors and missionaries on furlough or retired.
Initially, the Trust was established as a rest home for the elderly and members of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand Churches who were in need. It was set up from the estates of the late Lewis A. Silson (d. 1975) and his sister Eunice Silson (d. 1977).
The Silson Memorial Trust seeks to provide grants for health, education, respite needs, extraordinary needs, and the care of pastors, leaders, ministers and missionaries throughout the Assemblies of God in New Zealand.
Being able to help those in need is one of the greatest joys in life. Why not partner with us in this vision?

A word from the Chairman, Richard Thomas
We deeply appreciate those missionaries, ministers and leaders who have served others, often with significant sacrifice.
The Trustees are men and women of integrity who have passion for the purposes of the Trust. They range in age from their late twenties to
seventies and are pleased to give of their time for a good purpose
Silson Memorial Trust is a registered charitable Trust (CC51410; NZBN No.9429042747062).
